OFFICERS

Kimberly Hunt
Chairwoman, Primary Faculty
Kimberly Hunt has been a Montessori directress in the Naples area for 22 years.  She received her Bachelors in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from the University of Florida.  Her Association Montessori International Primary degree was obtained from Washington Montessori Institute in Washington D.C. Kimberly has served on the founding board of the Imaginarium Children's Museum in Fort Myers, Florida and has held various board positions with the Junior League of Fort Myers. Her husband, John, is the Vice President of Artype, Inc. They reside in Fort Myers with their three children.

David Meyers
Vice Chairman
With more than 30 years of real estate development, construction and project management experience, Mr. Meyers has been responsible for multi-million dollar projects including: retail strip centers, office complexes, hotels, shopping centers and multi-family units throughout the United States. He has extensive background in engineering, construction, marketing, and management. Mr. Meyers has a BS in Construction Management from the University of Cincinnati, along with an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering. He currently owns and manages a 266 room hotel in Ohio, which includes a 32,000 sf. restaurant and conference center along with several commercial beachfront properties on Fort Myers Beach.

Heather Land
Treasurer
Heather Land moved to Naples from Columbus, Ohio, in the late 1970’s with her parents at the age of one. She is married to Justin Land, Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Wasmer, Schroeder, and Company, Inc., and they have two young children. Ms. Land holds a BS in Nursing from Florida State University and a MBA from Florida Gulf Coast University.  She has enjoyed a nursing career in the fields of pediatrics and hospice. She is currently a stay-at-home mother and active community member, volunteering as a Girl Scout Leader and with her children’s school.

Amy Garbarino-Tate
Secretary, Primary Faculty
Amy Garbarino-Tate, a Connecticut native, moved to Naples from Virginia in 1996. She arrived with four years of Montessori classroom experience, two as an assistant and two as an intern. She studied at the Virginia Center for Montessori Teacher Training in Richmond and Norfolk, Virginia and graduated in 1997. She holds her Associate in Early Childhood Credential from the American Montessori Society. She has been teaching in Naples since 1997. In addition to her Montessori credential, she holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Assisted Accounting and a diploma in Business from Commonwealth College in Richmond, Virginia. She has four years accounting and management experience in a multi-state accounting center for a large grocery chain. She also has business and personnel management experience as a regional manager for a New-England based retail chain. Ms. Garbarino-Tate lives in Naples and enjoys spending her free time with her family and is avid supporter of community theater.

FACULTY MEMBERS

Lisa O’Reilly
School Administrator, Elementary Faculty
Lisa O'Reilly has been teaching in Naples since 1996. Her experience includes twelve years as a teacher in a Montessori elementary classroom, as well as two prior years of part-time teaching experience in Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from University of Richmond and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently Florida certified for grades pre-k thru third and will be taking her endorsement test in April to become certified through grade six. Her additional work experience includes supervisory positions in the hotel and banking industries.

PARENT  MEMBERS

Shahid Sultan, MD
Director, Chairman, Bylaws and Procedures Committee
Shahid Sultan has been a neonatologist practicing in Lee and Collier Counties over the past twenty years. He is the Co-Medical Director of the NICU at Health Park Hospital and North Collier Hospital. He is also the Medical Director of the NICU follow up Clinic and the Medical Director of the Pediatric Prescribed Extended Care program at Soutwest Florida Children's Hospital at Lee Memorial Health System. He has three children and holds education as a top priority in his family. His oldest daughter has just started medical school and his son is in his second year at Notre Dame.  Shahid himself went back to school to receive a Masters in Business Administration eight years ago.  He is very active in his community. In his free time he enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and children. He is very excited to watch his youngest daughter grow with her new school, Montessori Academy of Naples.

Aimee Langevin-Wolkoff
Director, Chairwoman, Fundraising Committee
Aimee Wolkoff is a stay at home mother and has two children.  Her husband, Daniel Wolkoff, is a local realtor and business owner. Ms. Wolkoff is originally from Binghamton, New York and attended Broome Community College and Binghamton University. She is a New York State Certified Paralegal and Registered Appraiser in the State of Florida.  In the past, she has been an active member of the Naples Gulf Shore Rotary, and more recently has volunteered by chairing fundraising galas and enjoys community service.

M. Bess Raulerson
Director, Chairwoman, Public Relations Committee
Bess Raulerson is a parent member of MAN and chairs the Public Relations committee. She is working toward her Masters in Medical Science and has been accepted into the Physician Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University in Naples. She is the CEO and Director of Hope for Trisomy 13 and 18, a Florida Non-Profit Organization and a 501c3 Charity and together with her husband, Matt, founded the Annual Day of Grace Golf Classic and Charity Auction. Additionally, she is a member of the advisory board for the Bachelors in Health Studies and Health Care Administration programs at Hodges University. She is an active member of her church and volunteers for the WISP after school bible program every Wednesday. She was the CEO and director of Family Birth Services, Inc from 1998 until its sale in 2005. She has been a resident of Florida for 17 years, and of Naples for 15 years. She has five children and remains very active in her children's education and volunteer at their schools.

Todd Gates
Director
Todd Gates, Chairman of GATES - a fully integrated construction, development and real estate company, is an engaged businessman in this Southwest Florida community.  Todd is the past chairman for the Economic Development Council of Collier County and the past president of the Collier Building Industry Association, a Trustee for the Florida Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Hodges University, and a member of the Florida Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors.  He currently serves on the Board for Liberty Bank, The Children’s Hospital of SWFL, Junior Achievement, the Chamber of SWFL, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the CEO Cultural Advisory Board for the United Arts Council.  Todd was named 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year by Gulf Coast Business Review, one of Gulfshore Life magazine’s Men of The Year, and 2007 Man of Distinction by the Education Foundation of Collier County. In addition, Todd was selected to participate in the 26th class of Leadership Florida 2007.


Josephine Haines
Director
Josephine Haines is Senior Vice President of Wasmer, Schroeder, & Company, Inc., an investment advisory firm with more than $2 billion in assets under management, based in Naples since 1987. Ms. Haines has been in Naples since 1989 and has worked in the investment industry for more than seventeen years, thirteen of those Wasmer, Schroeder, & Company, Inc. In her current position, Ms. Haines fills many roles including Chief Operating, Compliance, and Corporate Officer involving all aspects of compliance, client services, back-office operations, accounting, and human resources. She is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Ms. Haines holds and Associates degree in Accounting and is a licensed Real Estate Broker as well.

Casey Weidenmiller, Esq.
Director
Casey Weidenmiller is excited and honored by the opportunity to join the Board of Directors of the Montessori Academy of Naples.  Casey attended Montessori school in 1980-81 and has been a resident of Naples since moving here with his family in 1980 at the age of four.  Casey is a partner with the law firm of Salvatori & Wood, P.L. and focuses his practice on commercial civil litigation and advising businesses and individuals involved in business disputes and conflicts.  He is a graduate of Naples High School, Northwestern University, and The University of Pennsylvania Law School.  When not at work, Casey enjoys spending time with his wife Courtney.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Pelican Bay Rotary Club as well as a member of the Vestry at Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church.
