General Program Information

Montessori Academy of Naples programs adhere to the grounding principles set out by Dr. Maria Montessori. The method stresses the importance of: educating the whole child; encouraging independence; learning through the senses and hands-on experiences; offering reality-based experiences; allowing the child to exercise decision-making skills; offering freedom balanced by self-discipline; illuminating connections to community including raising awareness of responsibility and impact within the community; and respecting and nurturing the individual, their interests, their strengths

, and their contributions. Observance of these core principles honors the child’s natural drives and processes to develop physically, socially, emotionally, and cognitively, and helps foster a life-long joy of learning. This allows each child to achieve their maximum potential. Montessori Academy of Naples offers comprehensive Montessori programs for children from infancy into elementary. The classrooms are well-equipped and thoughtfully prepared by Montessori-certified staff. The classes are designed as multi-aged environments to allow for maximum individual and social development.
